About Me - "Live without Pain"
After 16 years in Chiropractic practice, I have decided to take the challenge of starting a blog. It has certainly been a long time in the making, because, over this time period, I have already written a variety of articles and publications - most of which are floating around on my computer or external Hard Drive! However, at this junction point in my clinical career, I do feel that this is the next (il)logical step along the path towards writing a book (or perhaps a few books). So watch this space!
The purpose of this blog is to give my personal understanding of the important matters that have arisen during my years of consultations with patients. The mechanism of “understanding”, is a vital part of the healing process. This understanding starts on a theoretical level, where the patient needs to acknowledge the nature of the cause of their condition(s). It must further advance to a practical wisdom, which manifests in a fundamental change in how each person chooses to move and use their body throughout all aspects of daily life.
To “Live without Pain”, is a fundamental belief and the focus of every interaction with my patients. I will help you to “Aspire to More”. A basic understanding of living is that that we were not created to live with chronic pain. One of my first mentors introduced me to the patient’s truth…”It is not their pain or symptoms that brings them into your office. It is rather their hope in you, the Chiropractor, that will help them to restore their lost quality of life.” It is definitely a greater quality of life that I wish to seek for you! We will need to discuss what is important to you, the areas you wish to be able to interact in again and I will show you, through the principles of Chiropractic and sound physiological rules, how to achieve this again.
It may not be the easy way! But it is the sustainable way!
I have returned back to Dubai after a lifetime of being away and I am reminded of so many things including you. I hope you are well?
Regards,
Travis from Hockey
